Patient Referral Specialist

The Patient Referral Specialist is responsible for maintaining the record of patient care by compiling, reviewing, and filing documentation of patient's condition, treatment, and health outcome.
The accuracy and quality of this recorded data will be pertinent for insurance company reimbursements for services rendered to the patients from CoreLife.
Major Areas of Responsibility:
Ensure that patient records are maintained and up to date.
Maintain medical records operations by following policies and procedures.
Resolve medical record discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
File documents.
Maintain patient confidence and protect clinic operations by keeping information confidential; follow release-of-information protocols.
Ensure documentation complies with legal requirements.
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Provide these records to other care providers as required.
Other duties as assigned.
Education/
Experience:
High School Diploma or GEDSome customer service experienceA passion for health and helping othersSkills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
Good Data Entry SkillsCritical thinking to integrate facts, informed opinions, active listening, and observations.
Strong customer service skills.
Excellent multitasking skills.
Decision making, problem solving and collaboration.
