Leidos has an opening for a Digital Forensics Examiner to provide onsite support at our customer's site in Linthicum, MD.
This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience in supporting Department of Defense Cyber Crime Center's Business and Technology Solutions (BTO) directorate.
DC3 delivers capability with a team comprised of Department of the Air Force civilians, Air Force and Navy military personnel, and contractors for specialized support.
Primary Responsibilities Supports Counterintelligence.
Conduct forensic processes on a variety of digital media including hard drives, thumb drives, media cards, cell phones and other devices.
Create detailed notes on processes undertaken and develops forensic reports in support of counterintelligence or criminal investigations and other types of inquiries.
Assist the customer in developing new and innovative forensic processes and procedures.
Conduct peer reviews of other examiners' reporting.
Provide expert witness testimony in both military and civilian courts in support of forensic examinations conducted by the examiner.
Conduct forensic processes on a variety of digital media including hard drives, thumb drives, media cards, cell phones and other devices.
Create detailed notes on processes undertaken and develops forensic reports in support of counterintelligence or criminal investigations and other types of inquiries.
Conduct peer reviews of other examiners' reporting.
Plans and leads major technology assignments.
Evaluates performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success.
Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments.
May supervise others.
Basic Qualifications Bachelors degree with 8
years of prior relevant experience or an Associates with 12
years of prior relevant experience.
Additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Technical or scientific degree applicable to the field of digital forensics or equivalent knowledge and experience previous military andor law enforcement experience TSSCI Clearance IAT Level II certified Possesses and applies expertise on multiple complex work assignments.
Required certification (one or more from the following) Digital Media Collector (DMC) Digital Forensic Examiner (DFE) Cyber Crime Investigator (CCI) International Association of Computer Investigative Specialists (IACIS) certifications Certified Computer Examiner (CCE) Certified Forensic Computer Examiner (CFCE) GIAC Certified Forensic Examiner (GCFE) Certifications related to mobile device forensic tools (eg Cellebrite Certified Mobile Examiner (CCME), XRY, Oxygen ForensicRegistered Certified Examiner (OFCE)) Certifications related to computer forensic tools (eg, EnCase Certified Examiner (EnCE), X-Ways Professional in Evidence Recovery Techniques (X-PERT), Magnet Certified Forensic Examiner (MCFE)) Data recovery or advanced data acquisition related certifications (eg, certifications offered by My Hard Drive Died, Teel Technologies, H-11, SANS, etc.
) Preferred QualificationsCertifications CFCE, EnCE, ACE, SANS GIAC (GCFE, GCFA, GASF), CTA DOD Certification, TCJA (TeelTech), IAT Level II Security Clearance Requirements TSSCI Pay Range.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
