Summary The primary function of the RN is to optimize patient outcomes by providing compassionate, high quality patient care to individuals suffering from addiction and/or mental health issues.
Job Responsibilities Conducts nursing triage and assessment during the admission process.
Assists with crisis management (often involving patients under the influence of drugs or alcohol) during the admission process.
Administers medications and treatments per medical provider orders.
Measures and records COWS and CIWA assessments to monitor withdrawal symptoms.
Performs basic lab tests including COVID, urine drug screens, and pregnancy testingMaintains accurate and timely documentation in electronic health record.
Requirements Qualifications Graduate from an accredited nursing education program approved by the Maryland Board of Nursing.
A current license to work as a nurse in Maryland.
Current CPR certification required.
Experience Experience working with addiction, mental health, or dual diagnosis preferred.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
