Project Engineer II (Tech)


Responsibilities:
Project Engineer (Software Projects):
Responsible for technical/operational leadership of a bundle of mission software applications within the programmatic guidelines set by the Peraton Team Lead and customer.
Defines, generates, and reviews project requirements documentation.
Performs technical studies to refine project requirements.
Monitors project to ensure work scope, schedule, and budget are well defined and maintained.
Leads projects and coordinates amongst product owners, stakeholders, software developers, resource managers, and supervisors.
Ensures technical assessments, Assessments of Alternatives, solution designs, and software implementations are completed in accordance with requirements and quality assurance criteria.
Works with stakeholders to assure contractual requirements and compliance.
Leads needs and requirements decomposition into user-stories, then to developer tasks.
Ensures user stories are mapped in Jira and metrics are reported.
Leads Agile release planning, sprint planning/reviews, demonstrations, and retrospectives.
Promotes cooperation across scrum teams.
Removes impediments and fosters an environment for a high-performing team.
Leads transformation of applications to cloud platform(s).
Leverages Peraton Mission Software Factory (DevSecOps) to continuously develop and deliver software within the client SDLC processes.
Ensures ISO/IEC and NIST standards and guidance are followed.
Qualifications:
BS 2-4 Years, MS 0-2 Direct hands-on experience building enterprise applications in science, engineering, and other technical domains.
Direct hands-on experience with Jira/Confluence/GitLab and similar software management tools is beneficial.
Must have one of the following certifications or complete it before starting billable work:
IASAE role in 8570:
CASP
CE or CISSP (or Associate) or CSSLP.
Must have SECRET clearance.

Colorado Salary Minimum:
$54,300 Colorado Salary Maximum:
$131,900 The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position, and is just one component of Peraton's total compensation package for employees.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
