Software Engineer 5

Northrop Grumman, Electronic Systems is seeking a Software Engineer 5 for the Advanced Concepts and Technologies (AC&T) Organization. The position is located at the Advanced Technology Laboratory (ATL) in Linthicum, MD where we design, manufacture, and test semiconductor products for internal production and emerging programs. The ideal candidate will have solid programming skills, strong experience with developing front end GUI-based applications with back-end databases, database experience in Oracle/MS SQL, and experience supporting users in a manufacturing environment. Additionally, this candidate will have expertise with Factory Works and a Real Time Dispatch.
Responsibilities include:
Maintain legacy Access VBA applications and Excel VBA macros
Create/augment/maintain newer C# applications
Test applications written by other developers
Report development involving data correlation between potentially multiple databases and/or files
Support users €“ software usage, finding bugs, data searches
Help facilitate the evolving needs of a microelectronics manufacturing facility
Integration of Factory Works custom rules
Customization of the Real Time Dispatch
Implement new uses and capabilities for station works
Basic Qualifications
This job requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering or related engineering discipline with 14 years of relevant experience (or 12 years with an MS or 9 years with a PhD).
Application development experience using C# and at least one of these: .NET, Java, JavaScript, including ODBC database communications
Experience with SQL, stored procedures, triggers, and database design within MySQL and one of the following environments: Oracle and MS SQL
Experience with web services programming and web technologies including some of the following: HTML, CSS, XML, WSDL/SOAP
Ability to work independently or as part of a small team and clearly communicate with both customers and co-workers
10 years of experience with Factory Works MES (Manufacturing Execution System), RTD (Real Time Dispatch), and Station Works software
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting user applications in a manufacturing environment
Experience in a semiconductor facility, preferably one utilizing Applied Materials MES software (ie. FactoryWorks, StationWorks, E3)
Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing and/or testing
Subject matter expert in all aspects of Factory works and Real Time Dispatch
In depth knowledge and practical application of station works in wafer fab setting

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
