Software Engineer, Mid
Key Role:
Work with the direction of a lead architect to design and implement back-end Web services for a complex network analysis and visualization application. Perform complex analysis, design, development, testing, and debugging of computer software in support of implementing the Web application back-end, providing RESTful APIs, managing data flows, and inter-service messaging. Assist with training and mentoring junior software engineering staff.
Basic
Qualifications:
Experience with Java and back-end frameworks, including Java EE or Spring
Experience with JavaScript, including TypeScript and Node.js
Experience with designing RESTful services and APIs
Experience with using NoSQL data stores, including Solr, Elasticsearch, CouchDB, or MongoDB
Experience with designing and implementing distributed services and micro-services
Knowledge of front-end Web application development, including HTML, CSS, and AJAX, and working with front-end frameworks, such as Angular
Ability to obtain a security clearance
BA or BS degree
Additional
Qualifications:
Experience with using and writing domain-specific business rules using a Business Rules Engine (BRE), such as Drools
Experience with implementing and working with the ELK stack, including Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana
Experience with event-driven, non-blocking programming patterns in Java and JavaScript
Experience with using the Actor pattern, using frameworks such as Akka or Vert.x
Experience with using message queues, such as ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ, or Kafka
Knowledge of the Atlassian tool suite, including JIRA, Confluence, and Stash
TS/SCI clearance preferred
